A fellow physician recommended her to me. She received me as soon as I asked for her help. It was my first malpractice trial, and I hope it will be the only one. She carefully listened to me. She didn’t interrupt me or impose a time limit. Then she requested details on the case, on my trade, on my purpose as a human being. After she looked at the matter from all possible sides, she summarized it and came up with a ‘plan of attack’, while considering my time, my reputation, and my state of mind at the time. At first, I found it difficult to talk to her, even the more so since I had to explain everything in very specialized medical terms, but after she started asking targeted questions, she fully gained my trust, because she understood everything and remembered everything.
